Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice is made under the Corrections Act 2004 and takes effect from 25 June 2015.

The community work centre at Kawerau is being relocated from the existing site in Bledisloe Street to a new site in Onslow Street. This notice declares the new premises to be a community work centre known as the Onslow Street (Kawerau) Community Work Centre and revokes the notice that constituted the Bledisloe Street (Kawerau) Periodic Detention Centre.

Licensing and Certification Criteria for Early Childhood Education and Care Services Notice 2015

Pursuant to Regulation 41(3) of the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008 and Regulation 17(2) of the Education (Playgroups) Regulations 2008, the Secretary for Education gives notice that the:

Licensing Criteria for Early Childhood Education and Care Centres 2008;
Licensing Criteria for Home-based Education and Care Services 2008;
Licensing Criteria for Hospital-based Education and Care Services 2008; and
Certification Criteria for Playgroups 2008 (as amended),

were amended on 9 March 2015.

The amended criteria have been prescribed by the Minister of Education in accordance with Regulation 41(1) of the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008 and Regulation 17(1) of the Education (Playgroups) Regulations 2008, for the purpose of assessing compliance with the minimum standards set out in the above-mentioned Regulations.
