Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Karamea Area School (300) Board of Trustees

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby direct the appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Karamea Area School (300) Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board as employer (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:

  • Board systems and processes; and
  • financial operations.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Declaration Terminating State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Alfred Wesley McAlister Preece, terminate the state of local emergency declared on 16 March 2015 at 1.35pm (Chatham Islands Time) for Chatham Islands Civil Defence Emergency Management Group owing to Cyclone Pam and complications with rural fire.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
