Amendments to Professional and Ethical Standard 1 (Revised) Public Interest Entity Definition (Notice No. 106)
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 24 of the Financial Reporting Act 2013, that the New Zealand Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of the External Reporting Board has issued Amendments to Professional and Ethical Standard 1 (Revised) Public Interest Entity Definition.
Amendments to Professional and Ethical Standard 1 (Revised) Public Interest Entity Definition:
- is effective for audits or reviews of financial statements for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2016; and
- is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012.
Copies of the standard may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the External Reporting Board (XRB), Level 7, 50 Manners Street, Wellington.

Notice of Altered Geographic Names for Ngāti Kuri Treaty of Waitangi Settlement 2015, Te Aupouri Treaty of Waitangi Settlement 2015, Te Rarawa Treaty of Waitangi Settlement 2015 and NgāiTakoto Treaty of Waitangi Settlement 2015
Pursuant to sections 133 and 134 of the Ngāti Kuri Claims Settlement Act 2015, sections 135 and 136 of the Te Aupouri Claims Settlement Act 2015, sections 146 and 147 of the Te Rarawa Claims Settlement Act 2015, and sections 131 and 132 of the NgāiTakoto Claims Settlement Act 2015 ("the Settlement Acts 2015"), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa ("the Board") hereby gives notice of 25 altered official geographic names.
Schedules 1–5 below specify the details of the 25 altered official geographic names, the settlement groups that the names apply to, their geographic feature types, their descriptions, and their former names and statuses.
The official geographic names took effect on 17 December 2015, being the settlement date specified in the Settlement Acts 2015.
Pursuant to section 135 of the Ngāti Kuri Claims Settlement Act 2015, section 137 of the Te Aupouri Claims Settlement Act 2015, section 148 of the Te Rarawa Claims Settlement Act 2015 and section 133 of the NgāiTakoto Claims Settlement Act 2015, the Board may in the future agree to alter any official geographic name, as listed in Schedules 1–5 below, with the consent of the trustees of Te Manawa O Ngāti Kuri Trust, Te Rūnanga Nui
