Schedule 4—Period of trial
The trial may begin after the publication of this notice and, unless terminated earlier, must end by 30 November 2016.
Schedule 5—Evaluation
An evaluation must be undertaken and a report prepared which includes discussion and analysis of the following:
a. measurement of any changes in driver behaviour during the trial, including:
i. an assessment of the level of special vehicle lane infringements issued during the trial;
ii. an assessment of the level of challenges to special vehicle lane infringements arising during the trial;
iii. a comparative assessment of the number of cyclists using the special vehicle lane before and during the trial;
b. measurement of any change in taxi driver compliance with other bus lanes in Auckland during the trial;
c. an assessment of drivers’ understanding of the meaning of the signs and markings used to identify the special vehicle lane;
d. a summary of any feedback received from cyclists, bus drivers and the general public during the trial; and
e. a description of any operational issues that arose during the trial and how they were resolved.
An interim evaluation report must be sent to me by 31 May 2016 and a final report by 31 March 2017.

Changes to the Funding Arrangements for the Civil Aviation Authority’s Regulatory Functions 2016–2019

The Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA) is seeking feedback from those involved in the aviation sector on the discussion document on the Funding Framework for Regulatory Services. This is Phase Two of the CAA’s Triennial Funding Review for the period 2016–2019. Submissions are invited by 5.00pm on 19 February 2016.
To help you to understand the options outlined in the discussion document, and to give you an opportunity to provide us with direct feedback, we are holding consultation workshops being held in late November and early December. These workshops will be held in Auckland, Hamilton, Palmerston North, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch and Queenstown. At the workshops we will explain our proposals and seek your views on them. The workshops are free of charge.
