Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004

Guidelines Issued to the Ethics Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology

Pursuant to sections 35 and 36 of the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004 (“the HART Act”), the

Advisory Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ACART) has issued the Guidelines on Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis with Human Leucocyte Antigen tissue typing, to come into effect from Monday 18 August 2014.

The guidelines replace the *Guidelines on Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis** which were issued by the former National Ethics Committee on Assisted Human Reproduction.

Pursuant to section 36(2) of the HART Act, the guidelines are available online at
