Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Director, Conservation Partnerships, for the Department of Conservation, Central North Island, hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule, with the effect that the land is now Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Declaration That Land is a Scenic Reserve as an Addition to Form Part of the Joe Gibbs Scenic Reserve for Management Purposes
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the New Plymouth District Council and the Department of Conservation agree to the declaration of land as reserve and addition to the Joe Gibbs Scenic Reserve for management purposes, being a Crown-owned reserve, administered by the council by way of appointment to control and manage. To give effect to the agreement, the council hereby notifies that a resolution to the following effect was passed by the council on 6 May 2014:
“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, and acting under an instrument of delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the said district in an estate in fee simple, and described in the Schedule shall be and the same is declared to be gazetted for scenic reserve purposes subject to the provisions of Section 19(1)(a) of the Act and is deemed to be classified for that purpose under Section 16(2A) and further declares the said reserve form an addition to the Joe Gibbs Scenic Reserve, for management purposes, so vested in the council as the administering body and for the sake of clarity with the revisionary estate in fee simple remaining at all times with the body corporate.”

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338(1)(a) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a papakainga for the common use and benefit of the owners and their descendants who are members of Te Paemate hapū.
