Notice of Intention to Incorporate Material By Reference—Import Health Standards for Animals and Animal Products (Notice No. MPI 323)
I, Matthew Stone, Director Animals and Animal Products of the Ministry for Primary Industries (“MPI”), acting under delegated authority from the Director-General of MPI, give notice under section 142N(4) of the Biosecurity Act 1993 (“the Act”) that, under section 142M of the Act, some or all of the following material, in whole or in part, is proposed for incorporation by reference in one or more Import Health Standards for Animals and Animal Products developed under sections 22–24D of the Act:
(a) The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Dangerous Goods Regulations (available at the IATA website

(b) MPI Approved Biosecurity Treatments (MPI-STD-ABTRT) (available at the MPI website

Consultation on this proposal to incorporate material by reference is in addition to the usual process of consultation on draft import health standards under sections 22–24D of the Act.

Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice 2014 (Notice No. MPI 368)
Pursuant to section 188 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Deep Water Fisheries Manager, Ministry for Primary Industries (acting pursuant to a delegated authority in accordance with section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988), gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Amendment Notice 2014 and is part of the principal notice.
(2) In this notice, “principal notice” means the Fisheries (Conversion Factors) Notice 2011 (No. F607)*.

Commencement—This notice comes into effect on 1 August 2014.

Interpretation—Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by:
(a) replacing the words “paragraphs (b) to (e)” from paragraph (a) in the interpretation of dressed with the words “paragraphs (b) to (f)”; and
(b) inserting in the interpretation of dressed the following paragraph:
“(f) means in relation to southern blue whiting, the body of a fish from which the head and gut have been removed with:
(i) the anterior cut being a straight line passing forward of the anterior insertion of the first dorsal fin; and
