Establishment of a Ngataki School (1055) and Te Hapua School (1109) Combined Board of Trustees

Pursuant to section 110 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby give notice that a Ngataki School and Te Hapua School Combined Board of Trustees is established with the following constitution:

• Five parent representatives, consisting of the highest polling candidates nominated in respect of each school, plus the next three highest polling candidates regardless of which school they were nominated in respect of;
• the Principal;
• one staff representative elected by the staff of the two schools; and
• up to four co-opted trustees.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Zayed College for Girls Board of Trustees (471)

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby direct the appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Zayed College for Girls Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in the management of health and safety of students and staff (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to establish school-wide systems and processes including self-review and board meeting procedures (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:

• Communication matters related to the intervention and the powers vested in the limited statutory manager.
