Ngāti Rangiwewehi Claims Settlement Act 2014

Notice of Altered Geographic Name for Ngāti Rangiwewehi Treaty of Waitangi Settlement 2014

Pursuant to sections 48 to 49 of the Ngāti Rangiwewehi Claims Settlement Act 2014 ("Settlement Act 2014"), the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa ("Board") hereby gives notice of one altered geographic name.

The Schedule below specifies the details of the altered geographic name; its geographic feature type; its description; and its former name.

The official geographic name took effect on 20 May 2014, being the date that the Settlement Act 2014 came into effect.

Pursuant to section 50 of the Settlement Act 2014, the Board may in the future agree to alter the official geographic name, as listed in the Schedule below, with the consent of the trustees of the Te Tāhuhu o Tawakeheimoa Trust.

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—State Highway 1, Near Happy Valley Road, Far North District

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Land Information proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the Schedule hereto ("land").

The land is required for road and State highway and is currently part of the existing State Highway 1 near Happy Valley Road.

The reason why the Minister for Land Information considers it reasonably necessary to take the land is to complete the legal vesting as road of an existing portion of State Highway 1, which has been constructed for some time.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Minister for Land Information’s intention to take their land, and advised of their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Level 2, 41 Federal Street, Auckland 1010, or by post to PO Box 7147 or DX CX10086, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Notice of Intention to Take Land and a Leasehold Estate—State Highway 1 Inner City Bypass Intersection Optimisation Project, Wellington City

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Land Information proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the First Schedule of this notice ("land") and the leasehold estate ("lease") in the land described in the Second Schedule of this notice on the terms and conditions set out in the Third Schedule of this notice.

The land and the lease are required for construction of the State Highway 1 Inner City Bypass Intersection Optimisation Project ("project").

More particularly, the land is required for road and the lease is required for the functioning indirectly of a road to allow for temporary occupation during construction of the project.
