Under section 69P(4) of the Telecommunications Act 2001, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice of an application by Mobile Communications Services Limited to be added to the Register of Chorus’ non-retail users.

Electricity Industry Act 2010

Notice of the Electricity Industry Participation (FTR Reconfiguration Auctions) Code Amendment 2014

  1. Pursuant to section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010, and having complied with section 39 of that Act, the Electricity Authority gives notice of the making of the Electricity Industry Participation (FTR Reconfiguration Auctions) Code Amendment 2014 (“Amendment”).

  2. The Amendment comes into force on 1 November 2014.

  3. The Amendment amends subpart 6 of Part 13 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (“Code”) to effectively facilitate FTR reconfiguration auctions. An FTR reconfiguration auction is an FTR auction that allows a holder of an FTR to offer for sale a portion of the FTR expressed in terms of all or a specified amount of the electricity to which the FTR relates.

  4. A copy of the Amendment and the Code is available on the Electricity Authority’s website at

  1. A copy of the Amendment and the Code may also be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Authority, Level 7, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.

Notice of Adoption of Replacement Policy Statement

  1. Pursuant to clause 5(c) of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 (“Act”), I give notice that the Electricity Authority (“Authority”) adopts a replacement policy statement as having legal effect.

  2. The replacement policy statement incorporates changes that are required as a result of the Electricity Industry Participation (Modified Dispatchable Demand) Code Amendment 2013 coming into force.

  3. The adoption of the policy statement has effect from 1.30pm on 15 May 2014.

  4. The policy statement is a document incorporated by reference into the Code as having legal effect in accordance with section 32 of the Act.

  5. A copy of the policy statement is available on the Authority’s website at

www.ea.govt.nz/code-and-compliance/the-code/documents-incorporated-into-the-code-by-reference/
