Notification of Archaeological Site
Notice is hereby given, under section 9(2) of the Historic Places Act 1993 (“the Act”), of the declaration by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust that the following site is an archaeological site as defined by section 2 of the Act:
The wreck site of the SS Ventnor located at
35°38'155"S, 173°13'589"E, south-west of the Hokianga Harbour
The wreck of the SS Ventnor lies south-west of the mouth of the Hokianga Harbour approximately 8 nautical miles out to sea. Coordinates 35°38'155"S, 173°13'589"E identify the centre of the wreck with the declaration area of the archaeological site covering a 500m circle around that point. The SS Ventnor has been recorded in the NZAA Site Recording Scheme as site record number O05/350.

Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003
Notice of Scope of Practice and Prescribed Qualifications for the Practice of Anaesthetic Technology in New Zealand*
Pursuant to sections 11 and 12 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, this notice replaces the previous notice (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 5 April 2012, No. 40, page 1201) issued by the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (“Council”).
This notice sets out the scope of practice and qualifications for the practice of anaesthetic technology in New Zealand as required by sections 11 and 12 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (“Act”).
The Profession of Anaesthetic Technology
Anaesthetic technology is the provision of peri-operative technical management and patient care for supporting the provision of quality health care and safe anaesthetic services in New Zealand accredited health facilities.
Tasks included in this definition, but not limited to, are:
- anaesthetic related research and development;
- applied science and anaesthetic technology education;
- advanced patient monitoring;
- collection of samples for diagnostic investigation; and
- management.
