Notice Stating Where Materials Proposed to be Incorporated by Reference into Acceptable Solutions D2/AS3 and E2/AS3 are Available for Inspection and Purchase

New materials proposed to be incorporated by reference

Pursuant to section 409(2) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice that the following materials are proposed to be incorporated by reference into the Acceptable Solution D2/AS3:

• NZS 4223: Part 3:1999 Glazing in Buildings Part 3 - Human impact safety requirements.

Proposed replacement of material incorporated by reference

Pursuant to sections 406(c)(ii) and 409(2) of the Building Act 2004, I give notice that the material previously incorporated by reference into the Acceptable Solutions, as set out in Column 1 below, is proposed to be replaced by the material in Column 2 below:

Purchase and viewing of materials proposed to be incorporated by reference

NZS 4223: Part 3:1999 and AS/NZS 2904: 1995 A1 may be purchased directly from Standards New Zealand, Level 6, 8 Gilmer Terrace, Wellington, or online at www.standards.co.nz.

CCANZ CP 01:2014 may be downloaded from the Cement and Concrete Association of New Zealand website at www.ccanz.org.nz/images/document/CP012014.pdf.

Materials proposed to be incorporated by reference are available for inspection free of charge at the Ministry’s Wellington office, Level 1, 33 Bowen Street, Wellington, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

I invite comment on the proposals contained in this notice by 31 January 2014.

Crown Entities Act 2004

Reappointments to the Commerce Commission

Pursuant to section 28(1)(b) and clause 1(2) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, the Governor-General of New Zealand has reappointed to the Commerce Commission, as established under the Commerce Act 1986,

Dr Mark Newman Berry, of Wellington as a member and chair for a term of five years commencing on 1 April 2014 and expiring on 31 March 2019; and

Susan Janice Begg, of Wellington as a member and deputy chair for a term of five years commencing on 17 June 2014 and expiring on 16 June 2019.

Education Act 1989

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Chelsea School (1244)

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby revoke the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 May 2012, No. 49, page 1407) appointing a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Chelsea School.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.
