Copyright Act 1994

Appointments/reappointments to the Copyright Tribunal

Pursuant to section 209(1) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed

Peter Charles Dengate Thrush, of Wellington
as deputy of the chairperson for the purpose of hearing and determining the dispute between Copyright Licensing New Zealand and Universities New Zealand including all matters arising in connection with that proceeding; and

pursuant to section 206(3) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has appointed

Sarah-Jane Ellen Weir, of Nelson
as a member for a term of three years commencing on the date of appointment; and

pursuant to section 207(2) of the Copyright Act 1994, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has reappointed

Professor Susy Rebecca Frankel, of Wellington
as chairperson for a term of five years commencing on 18 August 2014; and

Paul Cargill Sumpter, of Auckland
as a member for a term of five years commencing on 6 July 2014.

All the above are to the Copyright Tribunal, as established under the Copyright Act 1994.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Hoani Waititi (279)

Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I revoke the notice of direction to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Hoani Waititi (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 22 October 2009, No. 154, page 3749).

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.
