Contraception, Sterilisation, and Abortion Act 1977

Standard for Manufacture and Sale of Contraceptive Diaphragms

Pursuant to section 6(1) of the Contraception, Sterilisation,
and Abortion Act 1977, I, Tony Ryall, hereby approve the
International Standard "ISO 8009:2004 – Mechanical
Contraceptives – Reusable natural and silicon rubber
contraceptive diaphragms, requirements and tests" for the
purpose of manufacturing for sale or selling contraceptive
diaphragms.

The approval shall take effect from 1 May 2014.

The standard for the manufacture and sale of contraceptive
diaphragms appearing in the New Zealand Gazette,
12 October 1978, No. 86, page 2768, is hereby revoked with
effect from 30 April 2014.

Contraceptive Intrauterine Devices – Requirements and
tests" for the purpose of manufacturing for sale or selling
copper-bearing contraceptive intrauterine devices.

Standard for Manufacture and Sale of Female Condoms

Pursuant to section 6(1) of the Contraception, Sterilisation,
and Abortion Act 1977, I, Tony Ryall, hereby approve the
International Standard "ISO 25841:2011 – Female Condoms
– Requirements and Test Methods" for the purpose of
manufacturing for sale or selling female condoms.

The approval shall take effect from 1 May 2014.
