Fisheries Act 1996

Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Aquaculture Registers) Notice 2014 (Notice No. MPI 316)

Pursuant to section 186ZE of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Aquaculture Registers) Notice 2014.
   (2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice:
   Act means the Fisheries Act 1996; and
   register means the register of aquaculture agreements, register of pre-request aquaculture agreements, and register of compensation declarations required to be kept under section 186ZE of the Act.

3. Location of registers—The registers must be located at the offices of Commercial Fisheries Services Limited at Level 1, 74 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington.

4. Hours of inspection—The registers must be open for inspection by the public from 8.00am until 5.00pm on any day except:

(a) a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign’s birthday, and Labour Day; and
(b) the day observed as anniversary day in Wellington; and

Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Fish Farmer Register) Notice 2014 (Notice No. MPI 290)

Pursuant to section 186K of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Director Fisheries Management of the Ministry for Primary Industries, acting pursuant to a delegation from the Director-General of the Ministry for Primary Industries under the State Sector Act 1988, gives the following notice.

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice is the Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Fish Farmer Register) Notice 2014.
   (2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice:
   Act means the Fisheries Act 1996; and
   register means the Fish Farmer Register required to be kept under section 186K of the Act.

3. Location of register—The register must be located at the offices of Commercial Fisheries Services Limited at Level 1, 74 Cambridge Terrace, Wellington.

4. Hours of inspection—The register must be open for inspection by the public from 8.00am until 5.00pm on any day except:

(a) a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign’s birthday, and Labour Day; and
(b) the day observed as anniversary day in Wellington; and
(c) a day in the period beginning on 25 December in a year and ending on 2 January in the following year; and
(d) if 1 January falls on a Friday, the following Monday; and
(e) if 1 January falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday and Tuesday.

5. Revocation—The Fisheries (Location and Inspection of Registers) Notice 2012 (SR 2012/419) is revoked.
