Maritime Transport Act 1994

Notification of Maritime Rules

Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of maritime rules:

Part 20: Operating Limits
Part 31: Crewing and Watchkeeping
Part 32: Seafarer Certification
Part 34: Medical Standards
Part 35: Approval of Training for Purposes of Part 32, Assessments and Examinations, and Industry Specific Certificates
Parts 20, 31, 32, 34 and 35: Consequential Amendments

All listed Rules come into force on 1 April 2014, except for Rules 20.20, 20.43 and 20.60 of Part 20, which come into force on 1 July 2014, and Rules 35.12 and 35.13 of Part 35, which come into force on 1 January 2015.

Fire Service Act 1975

Gore Fire District Notice, January 2014

Under section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice is the Gore Fire District Notice, January 2014.

  2. This notice comes into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the Gore Fire District.

Constitution of a Fire District

(a) The urban area of Gore is constituted as a Fire District.

(b) The Fire District is assigned the name “Gore Fire District”.

(c) The boundary of the Fire District is defined and delineated on plans held at the National Headquarters, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003

New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2014/1

Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, section 22AB of the Land Transport Act 1998 and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.

Bylaw

  1. Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2014/1 and will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Amendments—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:

• Amending line 631 in Schedule 1 to read:
"Line No.: 631
Region: 7
SH No.: 45
Locality: Oakura
Section of State Highway: From 140m north of Dixon Street to 45m south of Wairau Road.
Speed Limit (km/h): 50
New Zealand Gazette Reference: 7/02/2014, No 15, p 341".

• Deleting line 632 in Schedule 1.

• Amending line 935 in Schedule 1 to read:
"Line No.: 935
Region: 12
SH No.: 7
Locality: Ngahere
Section of State Highway: From 280m north-east of Nelson Creek Road to 245m south of Red Jacks Road.
Speed Limit (km/h): 80
New Zealand Gazette Reference: 7/02/2014, No 15, p 341".

  1. Authority to Make Bylaw—This bylaw was made by the Chief Advisor (Professional Services) Highways and Network Operations, under delegated authority of the NZ Transport Agency.
