Amendment of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Kea Street Specialist School (1772) Board of Trustees

Under section 78M(6) of the Education Act 1989, I, acting under delegated authority, amend the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 11 September 2014, No. 109, page 3031) which specified the functions, powers and duties of a limited statutory manager for the Kea Street Specialist School Board of Trustees by this notice.

The following functions, powers and duties are vested in the limited statutory manager:

All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise).

No other functions, powers or duties are vested in the limited statutory manager.

A limited statutory manager may also advise the board on the following:

Communication matters related to the intervention and the powers vested in the limited statutory manager;
financial matters related to the intervention and the powers vested in the limited statutory manager; and
board systems and processes related to the intervention and the powers vetted in the limited statutory manager.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Guidelines in Relation to Reviews of Local Authority Representation

On 31 October 2014, the Local Government Commission ("Commission") issued the 5th edition of its Guidelines to Assist Local Authorities in Undertaking Representation Reviews.

The guidelines have been issued under section 19ZI of the Local Electoral Act 2001.

They identify factors and considerations for local authorities to take into account in making determinations under any of the provisions of sections 19H to 19JB and Schedule 1A of the Local Electoral Act 2001.
