District Court Judge and Environment Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947, and section 250 of the Resource Management Act 1991, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint

David Alastair Kirkpatrick, barrister of Auckland

to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to be an Environment Judge of the Environment Court commencing on 3 February 2014.

Animal Products (Specifications for Products Intended for Human Consumption) Notice 2013 which comes into force on 1 February 2014.

Social Security Act 1964

Orphan’s and Unsupported Child’s Benefit

(Additional Assistance) Programme

Pursuant to section 124(1)(d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister for Social Development establishes and approves the following welfare programme for special assistance.

Programme

  1. Title—This programme is the Orphan’s and Unsupported Child’s Benefit (Additional Assistance) Programme.

  2. Commencement—This programme comes into force on 13 January 2014.

  3. Purpose—The purpose of this programme is to provide financial assistance to help meet certain additional costs of caring for children for whom an orphan’s benefit or an unsupported child’s benefit is payable.

  4. Interpretation—(1) In this programme, unless the context otherwise requires:

Act means the Social Security Act 1964

CYPF Act means the Children, Young Persons, and Their Families Act 1989
