Declaration Notice

Pursuant to section 19 of the Exclusive Economic Zone and Continental Shelf (Environmental Effects) Act 2012, the Minister of Conservation declares the following marine species to be “threatened” or “at-risk” (having already been classified accordingly in the New Zealand Threat Classification List) as specified in the list printed below:

Note: Some organisms have not yet been fully described and a collection number related to where the specimen is held is listed with the species as a reference.

Species with the collection number prefixed by “M” are in the collection of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, Wellington.

Those prefixed by “A” are in the collection of the Auckland Institute and Museum.

Those prefixed by “NZOI” are in the collection of the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, Wellington.
