Notice of Closure and Exemption Applied to Part of the Auckland Memorial Park, East Coast Road, Silverdale, Auckland
Pursuant to the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, and section 15 of the Interpretation Act 1999, I, Mark Jacobs, Director of Public Health, Ministry of Health, acting under the delegated authority of the Minister of Health, hereby make the following directions:
- Under section 41(1) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964, part of the denominational burial ground known as the Auckland Memorial Park, Silverdale, Auckland, being the land described in the Schedule to this notice, shall be closed subject to the conditions set out in paragraph 2 below, and burials there shall be discontinued from and including 4 January 2014.
Under the proviso to section 44(4) of the Act, section 44(4) shall not apply to the land described in the Schedule, and that land may be diverted for any other purpose.
- This closing order shall be subject to the following exception and qualifications:
