Issued Accounting Standard: Recoverable Amount Disclosures for Non-Financial Assets (Diff Rep) (Amendments to NZ IAS 36 (Diff Rep)) (Notice No. 40)

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 31 of the Financial Reporting Act 1993, that the New Zealand Accounting Standards Board of the External Reporting Board has issued Recoverable Amount Disclosures for Non-Financial Assets (Diff Rep) (Amendments to NZ IAS 36 (Diff Rep)).

Recoverable Amount Disclosures for Non-Financial Assets (Diff Rep):

• applies to all Tier 3 for-profit reporting entities and groups, other than where expressly exempted by its terms, the terms of any other approved accounting standard or by law;
• applies to annual periods beginning on or after 1 January 2014, with early adoption allowed when the entity has already applied NZ IFRS 13 (Diff Rep) Fair Value Measurement; and
• is a Regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.

Copies of the standard may be inspected free of charge at the offices of the External Reporting Board (XRB), Level 7, 50 Manners Street, Wellington.

Notice of Amendment to National Animal Identification and Tracing Device Standards

Pursuant to section 14 of the National Animal Identification and Tracing Act 2012, I, Russell John Burnard, Chief Executive of National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) Limited, which is the designated NAIT organisation, give notice that I have amended the NAIT Device Standard for Cattle and the NAIT Device Standard for Deer.

The amended NAIT Device Standard for Cattle, Version 4 (June 2013) and NAIT Device Standard for Deer, Version 4 (June 2013) will take effect on 28 June 2013.
