Biosecurity (Appointment of Management Agency for the National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Notice 2013

Pursuant to section 100 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, the Minister for Primary Industries gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Biosecurity (Appointment of Management Agency for the National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Notice 2013.

2. Commencement—This notice comes into effect on the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. Interpretation—In this notice:

   Act means the Biosecurity Act 1993.

   Management Agency means the body appointed as the management agency for the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Plan) Order 1998 pursuant to section 100 of the Act.

   TBfree New Zealand means TBfree New Zealand Limited.

4. TBfree New Zealand is appointed as the Management Agency from 1 July 2013.

Notice Under the Food Act 1981

Pursuant to section 11G of the Food Act 1981, notice is given of the issue on 5 June 2013 of the New Zealand (Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code) Food Standards 2002, Amendment No. 54, which comes into force on 11 July 2013.

A copy of these food standards incorporating Amendment No. 54 may be inspected free of charge at or purchased from the office of the Ministry for Primary Industries, Pastoral House, 25 The Terrace (PO Box 2526), Wellington.

Social Security Act 1964

Direction in Relation to the Preferred Supply of Goods and Services

To: The Chief Executive of the Ministry of Social Development.

Pursuant to section 125AA of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister for Social Development gives the following direction.

Direction

1. Title—This direction is the direction in relation to the preferred supply of goods and services.

2. Commencement—This direction comes into effect on the day after the date on which it is given.

3. Interpretation—(1) In this direction:

   Act means the Social Security Act 1964.

   premises has the same meaning as in section 61E(1) of the Act.

   (2) Terms otherwise defined in sections 3(1) and 125AA of the Act have the same meanings in this direction.

4. Goods and services that may be subject of preferred supplier contracts under section 125AA(3)—For the purposes of section 125AA(3) of the Act, I determine that the chief executive may enter into contracts on behalf of the Crown for the supply of the following goods and services for the purposes specified in section 125AA(2)(b) and (d) of the Act:

   Goods

   (a) combined refrigerator-freezers;

   (b) separate freezers;

   (c) separate refrigerators;

   (d) washing machines;

   Services

   (e) delivery to the premises of purchasers of any of the goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d);

   (f) installation of any of the goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d);

   (g) removal from the premises of purchasers of any goods that any goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d) replace;

   (h) repairs or replacements of any of the goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d) pursuant to a warranty;

   (i) bailment of equivalent goods, while any of the goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d) are being repaired or are being assessed as requiring repair;

   (j) disposal of any packaging associated with the supply of any of the goods listed in paragraphs (a) to (d).

This direction determines the goods and services that can be the subject of preferred supplier contracts under section 125AA(3) of the Social Security Act 1964 for the purposes set out in section 125AA(2)(b) and (d) of that Act.
