Amending a Notice—Designation of Various Gold Fossicking Areas

Pursuant to section 13 of the Interpretation Act 1999, section 98 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991, and under delegated authorities from the Minister of Energy and Resources and the Minister of Conservation, we, David Binnie, Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Employment and Sue Tucker, Ministry of Conservation, hereby amend the notice with the above heading dated the 5th day of September 1996 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 September 1996, No. 122, page 3071.

The Schedule to the above notice is amended such that the entry for GFA 10 is replaced with the following wording:

“GFA 10 Nelson Creek Area being 5.25 hectares in area located 26km east north-east of Greymouth, Westland, as is more particularly shown on plan SO 12375, and identified in the spatial database held by the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (the Secretary).”

Public Works Act 1981

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—4 and 6–12 Clark Street, New Lynn, Auckland

Notice is hereby given that the Auckland Council, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule to this notice (“land”).

The land is required for road to build linkages that will allow better traffic flow through New Lynn and beyond and to cater for additional traffic generated by the development of the State Highway 20 extension.

It is necessary to take the land and all associated interests to provide a safe, multimodal roading network, and to make the movement of freight, traffic and people along this major corridor more effective for both local and through traffic.

The owners of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served notice of the Auckland Council’s intention to take the land and have been advised of their rights to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Ministry of Justice, PO Box 7147, Wellesley Street, Auckland 1141, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
