Approval for Rural Assistance Under Special Needs Grants Programme

Under clauses 18.2 and 18.6 of the Special Needs Grants Programme, as established and approved on 18 December 1998* under section 124(1)(d) of the Social Security Act 1964 (the programme), I give my approval for Part 6 of the programme to apply as follows:

Rural Assistance – Farmers

Farmers in the affected areas whose primary industries are directly affected by drought are eligible to be considered for financial assistance under Part 6 of the programme.
In relation to such farmers, Part 6 of the programme applies for the period beginning on 22 March 2013 (being the date on which the Minister for Primary Industries declared an adverse climatic event) and ending with the close of 30 September 2013, unless further extended by the Minister.
In this approval:

affected areas means:

the territories of the following local authorities:
(i) Buller District Council; and
(ii) Grey District Council.

Notice of Vesting of Property Under Section 324 of the Companies Act 1993—Jaques Holdings Limited

I, Jeremy Salmond, Treasury Solicitor, acting under delegated authority from the Secretary to the Treasury, hereby give notice that on 25 March 2013, I first became aware that the Crown was vested under section 324(1) of the Companies Act 1993 (by virtue of the removal of Jaques Holdings Limited from the Register of Companies on 14 December 2007) with the rights to funds managed by AMP Wealth Management New Zealand Limited.
