Road Realignment—Unformed Road, Akaroa, Christchurch City

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Pursuant to section 20, declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for road and vested in the Christchurch City Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the portion of road adjoining or passing through the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and, pursuant to section 120(3), amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register CB33B/451.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve and Issue of a Fresh Notice

Under the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice described subsequently, the Acting Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the notice headed Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve, dated the 7th day of March 2013 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 14 March 2013, No. 31, page 958, and issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (transfer/landfill) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the West Coast Conservator of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserves described in the Schedule as local purpose (community facilities) reserves subject to the provisions of the Act.

Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve and Vesting of Reserves

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Support Manager for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the First Schedule from a recreation reserve to a local purpose (community building and amenity) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act, and further vests the reserves described in the First Schedule and the Second Schedule in the Horowhenua District Council, in trust for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the reserves.

Subject to the Crown reserving the right to cancel the vesting of the reserves in whole or in part should the reserves be required for Treaty of Waitangi settlement purposes.
