Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice 2013 (Notice No. MPI 266)

Pursuant to section 60 of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister for Primary Industries, after complying with the requirements of that section, gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title—This notice is the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice 2013.

2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for king crab—From the date that this notice comes into effect, consent is given for NZLL Quota Company Limited to hold quota shares for king crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 54.26 per cent of the combined total allowable commercial catches of king crab.

4. Exemption to quota aggregation limit for red crab—From the date that this notice comes into force, consent is given for NZLL Quota Company Limited to hold quota shares for red crab having a combined quota weight less than or equal to 45.63 per cent of the total allowable commercial catches of red crab.

5. Revocation—The Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 2011 (New Zealand Gazette, 13 October 2011, No. 155, page 4438) is revoked.

Commerce Act 1986

Orion New Zealand Limited Customised Price-Quality Path Determination 2013

Pursuant to sections 52Q and 53V of Part 4 of the Commerce Act 1986 (“the Act”), the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives the following notice.

On 28 November 2013, the Commission made the Orion New Zealand Limited Customised Price-Quality Path Determination 2013, [2013] NZCC 21 (“Amendment”) under section 52Q of the Act, which amends the Electricity Distribution Services Default Price-Quality Path Determination 2010 (Commerce Commission Decision 685, 30 November 2009) as previously amended.

The Amendment determines a customised price-quality path that will apply to Orion New Zealand Limited for the period 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2019.

Among other things, the Amendment specifies the:

(a) Regulatory period for which the customised price-quality path will apply, which will be from 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2019.

(b) Starting prices that apply to Orion for the regulatory period: $154.8 million.

(c) Rate of change in prices over that regulatory period: CPI + 1%.

(d) Quality standards (revised SAIDI and SAIFI limits) that apply during that regulatory period as follows:
