Rules About Authorised Property

I, Jeremy Lightfoot, National Commissioner Corrections Services and holder of the delegated powers of the Chief Executive of the Department of Corrections, hereby give notice that on 22 November 2013, I made rules, under section 45A of the Corrections Act 2004, declaring the items of property that prisoners may be issued with or allowed to keep and imposing conditions that attach to those items.

The rules are published on the Department of Corrections’ website

The rules are available for inspection at:

• the reception of the Department of Corrections’ National Office at 44–52 The Terrace, Wellington; and
• the visitors’ reception area of every prison site.

Copies of the rules may be obtained, free of charge, from the website, National Office reception and the visitors’ reception area of every prison site.
