Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve and Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise the Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation over the recreation reserve described in the Schedule and declares the land may be disposed of by the Hutt City Council in such manner, at such price and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine, the proceeds from any sale to be paid into its reserves development and purchases fund for the purposes of acquiring new reserves or developing its reserves network.

Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008

Notice of Recommendation for Amendments to the Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008

This notice of a recommendation for amendments to the Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008 (“the Rules”) is issued by Gas Industry Company Limited (“Gas Industry Co”) approved as the industry body by Order in Council under section 43ZL of the Gas Act 1992 (“the Act”). Section 43O of the Act provides that, after making a recommendation for a gas governance regulation to the Minister of Energy and Resources (“the Minister”), Gas Industry Co must publicise the recommendation.

Recommendation

Following a review of the Rules and their operation, carried out between 2011 and 2012, Gas Industry Co made a recommendation to the Minister for a number of amendments to the Rules.

The effect of the recommended amendments is to:

• codify long-standing exemptions which arose due to unforeseen issues with the original drafting of the Rules, and required operational experience and analysis to resolve;
• reduce the compliance burden created by certain arrangements, where the cost of administering technical breaches outweighs the impact of those breaches; and
