Maritime Security Act 2004

Designation of a Port Security Area

Pursuant to section 45 of the Maritime Security Act 2004, I, Keith Manch, Chief Executive of Maritime New Zealand, hereby designate the following area on Queens Wharf, Auckland, as a port security area:

  • That part of Shed 10 at Queens Wharf, Auckland (excluding the Ground Floor Reception and Check-In areas), when within any fenced and sign-posted area, to provide a secured area for any cruise or other vessel.

This designation comes into force on the day after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Revocation of Designation of a Port Security Area

Pursuant to section 45(3)(b) of the Maritime Security Act 2004, I, Keith Manch, Chief Executive of Maritime New Zealand, hereby revoke the designation made on 4 August 2011* of the following area at CentrePort, Wellington, as a port security area:

  • That land on Inter-Island Wharf (excluding the existing port security area contained on the eastern boundary), when within any fenced or secured area, used to berth cruise or other vessels from time to time.

For the avoidance of doubt, this Gazette Notice does not affect the status of the port security area on the eastern side of the Inter-Island Wharf designated a port security area on 20 August 2004†.

Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Equipment 2004

Automotive LPG Fuel Container Approval

Pursuant to clauses 2.6(4) and (5) of Land Transport Rule: Vehicle Equipment 2004, and under delegated authority, I, Hugh Cameron Matheson, Principal Engineer Vehicles, NZ Transport Agency, hereby approve the LPG fuel containers in the Schedule hereto for inclusion in any LPG automotive fuel system installed and operated in accordance with the requirements of Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1425, subject to the conditions of approval set out in this notice.
