- Power to authorise the taking of fisheries resources for customary food-gathering—Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki may authorise any individual to take fisheries resources managed under the Fisheries Act 1996, for customary food-gathering purposes from within the whole or any part of the area/rohe moana. No customary food-gathering of fisheries resources may take place in the area/rohe moana without an authorisation from a Tangata Tiaki/Kaitiaki.

Pursuant to section 35 of the State Sector Act 1988, the State Services Commissioner has appointed
Lewis Vernon Sanson
as the Chief Executive and Director-General of Conservation, Department of Conservation, from 14 September 2013 to 13 September 2016, following acceptance by the Administrator of the Government in Council of the Commissioner’s recommendation.

Civil Aviation Act 1990
Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence
Pursuant to the Civil Aviation Act 1990, I, Martin Matthews, Secretary for Transport in the Ministry of Transport, hereby give notice that I have exercised the power conferred by section 87Q of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 to vary the terms of the scheduled international air service licence issued to China Southern Airlines to authorise the airline to increase its operating capacity from seven to 10 return services per week with any aircraft type, and introduce a less onerous provision for the filing of tariffs.
These variations took effect on the date of signature below.

Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 20km/h School Bus Signs Trial Amendment
Pursuant to subclause 3.4(1) of Land Transport Rule: Traffic Control Devices 2004 and a delegation from the NZ Transport Agency, I, Glenn Bunting, Network Manager, amend the “20km/h School Bus Signs Trial” notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 June 2013, No. 83, page 2244, by adding the following clause to Schedule 5—Conditions and evaluation:
“(f) A bus identified in the table below may display a 20km/h school bus sign Option B on the front of the bus,
despite the bus having seating for more than 12 people, including the driver.
