On 26 July 2012, it was resolved by special resolution of the shareholders, pursuant to section 241(2)(a) of the Companies Act 1993, that POTAE SHEARING LIMITED be liquidated, and that Paul Alexander Glass, chartered accountant of Dunedin, be appointed liquidator for that purpose.

On 14 November 2011, POTAE SHEARING LIMITED sold its shearing contract business to Davis Shearing Contractors Limited.
