Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve and Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise the Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Conservator for the Wellington Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby revokes the reservation over the recreation reserve described in the Schedule and declares the land may be disposed of by the Hutt City Council at current market value, the proceeds of such sale to be paid into the council’s reserve account, to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Land Acquired for Electricity Purposes—Greers Road, Christchurch

Pursuant to section 186(1) of the Resource Management Act 1991 and section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Natasha Pollard, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, the Minister being satisfied that the requirements of sections 20(1)(a) and (b) of the Public Works Act 1981 are met, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for use for or in relation to the distribution of electricity and the operation of an electricity distribution network and vested in Orion New Zealand Limited on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, subject to section 3 of the Petroleum Act 1937, section 8 of the Atomic Energy Act 1945, section 3 of the Geothermal Energy Act 1953.

Change of Classification of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Acting Conservator for the West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation changes the classification of the reserve described in the Schedule from a scenic reserve to a local purpose (public utility) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.
