Notice of Application Received by the Commerce Commission for Addition to the Register of Chorus’ Non-retail Users
Under section 69P(4) of the Telecommunications Act 2001, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice of an application by WIZwireless Limited to be added to the Register of Chorus’ non-retail users.

Notification of Commencement of Review of the Standard Terms Determination for Chorus’s Unbundled Bitstream Access
The Commerce Commission (“Commission”) gives public notice that it has commenced a review of the Standard Terms Determination Chorus’s unbundled bitstream access (Commerce Commission Decision 611, 12 December 2007) (“the UBA STD”).
This review is required by section 77 of the Telecommunications (TSO, Broadband, and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2011, and is being conducted under section 30R of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“the Act”).
The purpose of the review is limited to determining the cost-based price for the UBA STD that will apply from 1 December 2014.
The Commission must make reasonable efforts to complete the review by 30 November 2012.
The Commission has today released a discussion document on the price review.
Submissions on the discussion document are due by 24 August 2012 and cross-submissions by 7 September 2012.
Following consideration of submissions, the Commission will issue a draft decision in October and allow submissions.
If necessary and appropriate, the Commission will then hold an industry conference prior to releasing its final decision in November 2012.
