Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Corrigendum—Redefining the Purposes of a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(5)(c) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the purposes for which the Māori reservation in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto was created by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 December 1992, No. 197, page 4392, is hereby redefined for the purpose of a papakāinga, urupā, marae, church site, timber reserve, kōhanga reo, meeting place, place of cultural, historical or scenic interest, education centre, catchment area or other source of water supply, wāhi tapu, pā site, fishing ground, health clinic, Kaumatua flats, conservation purpose, sports and recreational ground, horticultural centre and cultural centre for the common use and benefit of the owners and their descendants.

Simply Insurance New Zealand Limited

Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010

Simply Insurance New Zealand Limited—Notice to Policyholders

Pursuant to the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010, notice is given that on or about 5 March 2012, Simply Insurance New Zealand Limited (“Simply Insurance”) intends to transfer to Hallmark General Insurance Company Limited (“Hallmark”) its repayment protection insurance business.

That transfer will have the approval of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

Hallmark currently manages the Simply Insurance insurance business.

Both Simply Insurance and Hallmark are members of the GE Capital group.

The insurance business being transferred includes Simply Insurance’s obligations for the consumer credit insurance policies issued to GE Money’s New Zealand loan and Gem Visa customers (“Policies”).

As a result of the transfer, the obligation to provide cover to GE Money’s New Zealand personal loan and Gem Visa customers under consumer credit insurance policies will be transferred to Hallmark.

The existing obligation on Hallmark Life Insurance Company Limited to provide Life Cover under those insurance policies will continue unaffected.

No other change will be made to the terms of the Policies as a result of the transfer and no action is required on the part of policyholders.
