A small bank on the sea floor lying at the north-western end of the Malaspina Basin, descending from 70m to a depth of 230m, and located approximately 2km west from Espinosa Point in Doubtful Sound / Patea, Fiordland. A depression in the sea floor trending north-west, south-east along the length of Malaspina Reach, descending to a maximum depth of 435m, and located approximately 2km north-west from Matai Island in Doubtful Sound / Patea, Fiordland. Pendulo Bank

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Ainslie Drysdale, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for a recreation reserve and shall vest in the Auckland Council, subject to an electricity right in gross over part marked “B” on SO 444309 in favour of Vector Limited created by Transfer 173809.3, on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
