Reserves Act 1977

Classification of a Reserve

Under section 16(1) of the Reserves Act 1977, and acting pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the New Plymouth District Council, pursuant to a resolution dated the 12th day of April 2011, hereby classifies the named gazetted Tataraimaka cemetery reserve described in the Schedule as a local purpose (closed cemetery) reserve, subject to the provisions of the Tataraimaka Cemetery Closing Order 1968, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 14 November 1968, No. 74, page 2071, and the Tataraimaka Cemetery Clearance Notice 1969, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 8 May 1969, No. 27, page 855, under the Burial and Cremation Act 1964.

Appointment of the Hamilton City Council to Control and Manage a Recreation Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Waikato Conservancy of the Department of Conservation appoints the Hamilton City Council to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule for recreation purposes on condition that the reserve is managed so that, in a manner consistent with the Waikato River Treaty of Waitangi Claim Settlement, recreation and public access do not detract from the protective purposes of the reserve.
