Electricity Industry Act 2010

Notice of the Electricity Industry Participation (Removal of Quantity Limit for Financial Transmission Rights) Code Amendment 2012

Pursuant to section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010, the Electricity Authority gives notice of the making of the Electricity Industry Participation (Removal of Quantity Limit for Financial Transmission Rights) Code Amendment 2012.
The amendment comes into force on 1 June 2012.
The amendment removes the requirement that every financial transmission right be for 0.1MW. Instead, the amendment requires that every financial transmission right must relate to an amount of electricity that is a multiple of 0.1MW.
The amendment also allows a person who holds a financial transmission right to assign part of that financial transmission right to another person.
A copy of the amendment and the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (“Code”) is available on the Electricity Authority’s website:

A copy of the amendment and the Code may also be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Authority, Level 7, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.

Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007

Notification of Approval of Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2013

Pursuant to section 38 of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007, I hereby give notice of approval of the Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2013, which will come into effect on 1 January 2013.

The Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2010 are revoked from the date these standards come into force.

The Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2012 are revoked from the date that these standards are made.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Immigration Advisers Competency Standards 2010 are the standards in force until the 2013 standards come into force.

The Competency Standards 2013 can be viewed and downloaded free from the Immigration Advisers Authority (“Authority”) website:

Conservation Act 1987

Authorisation of Exchange of Conservation Area for Other Land

Under the Conservation Act 1987, the Conservator for the Northland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation authorises the exchange of the conservation area described in the First Schedule for the land described in the Second Schedule, and further specifies that the land in the latter Schedule shall be held for conservation purposes.
