Termination of Dumping Investigation: Preserved Tomatoes From Italy

Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 11(1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 ("the Act"), I have terminated a dumping investigation in respect of preserved tomatoes from Italy, as described in the Notice of Initiation of Dumping Investigation of 19 September 2011 (New Zealand Gazette, 22 September 2011, No. 144, page 4129), imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand.

I have terminated the investigation because I am satisfied, in terms of section 11(1)(b) of the Act, that there is insufficient evidence that material injury to a New Zealand industry has been or is being caused or is threatened by means of the dumping of the goods.

Dated at Wellington this 4th day of April 2012.

HON JOHN BANKS, CNZM, QSO, Associate Minister of Commerce.
