Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect).

This notice prescribes that, pursuant to Regulation-making powers of the Radiocommunications Act 1989, a general user radio licence is granted for the transmission of radio waves for the purpose of cordless telephony and telecommunications, including those known as "CT1", "CT2", "DECT", and "PHS", in accordance with the terms, conditions and restrictions of this notice.

This notice comes into force on 16 February 2012.

Cordless telephones may also operate in other bands pursuant to a General User Radio Licence for Short Range Devices.

Timaru Girls’ High School (361) Board of Trustees By-Election Invalidation Notice

Pursuant to Clause 9(3A) of the Sixth Schedule of the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I declare invalid the 22 December 2011 by-election for the Timaru Girls’ High School Board of Trustees and require a new by-election to be held on 30 March 2012.

This notice takes effect the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
