Tariff Concessions: New Arrangements

From 1 December 2012, the responsibility for administering New Zealand’s tariff concessions will be transferred from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) to the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs).

Until 30 November, enquiries, objections and applications for tariff concessions should continue to be lodged with MBIE.
On 1 December, outstanding applications and objections will be transferred to Customs and relevant applicants will be advised.
From 1 December, enquiries, objections and applications for tariff concessions should be lodged with Customs.

Relevant information, including the application forms, will be available on the Customs website www.customs.govt.nz from 30 November 2012.
