1. Summary of Significant Accounting Policies

Reporting Entity
The Whanganui Community Foundation Incorporated (the "Foundation"), is a Trust established pursuant to section 14(1) of the Trustee Banks Restructuring Act 1988. This Act has since been repealed and replaced by the Community Trusts Act 1999.

The General Assembly Library (on the right) was completed in 1899 and survived the 1907 fire. Now the oldest remaining original Parliament building, still used as the Parliamentary Library.
