Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010

RS&T funding that is not referred to the Science or Innovation Boards

Under section 5(2) of the Research, Science, and Technology Act 2010, the following
RS&T funding in Vote RS&T is subject to decision-making processes that do not require
referral to a Board established under section 10(1)(a):

  • Marsden Fund
  • Fellowships for Excellence (includes Rutherford Discovery Fellowships and
    Fulbright)
  • International Relationships
  • Health & Society research investments made by the Health Research Council
  • Vision Mātauranga Capability Fund
  • Business-Led Research and Development funding allocated via Regional Business
    Partners
  • Commercialisation and Technology Transfer Support, Objective 1 (including
    National Networks of Commercialisation Centre funding and what was historically
    invested as Pre-Seed funding).

Innovation.
