Controls surrounding credit risk rating systems

If the registered bank has implemented the Advanced IRB approach or Foundation IRB approach to credit risk, a discussion of the control mechanisms for the rating systems used to measure credit risk, covering independence, accountability, and rating systems reviews.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order comes into force on 30 June 2011 and replaces the Registered Bank Disclosure Statement (Full and Half-Yearβ€”New Zealand Incorporated Registered Banks) Order 2008. The purpose of this order is to give legal effect to the current versions of material incorporated by reference in reliance on section 81AA and in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1989.


This Order in Council is administered in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
