Notification of Release of Draft Standard Terms Determination for the Mobile Termination Access Services Under the Telecommunications Act 2001

Pursuant to section 30M of the Telecommunications Act 2001, the Commerce Commission (“the Commission”) gives public notice that it has released its standard terms determination in relation to the following designated access service:

Mobile termination access services (MTAS).

Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) gives notice that Agcarm Incorporated intends to apply for approval of the Code of Practice for Product Labelling & Documentation Code for Agricultural Compounds & Veterinary Medicines.

This incorporates amendments to the code developed by Agcarm Incorporated and sets out means for meeting the performance requirements for container labels to achieve compliance with the HSNO Act and its Regulations in respect of those crop protection products and veterinary medicines that are hazardous substances.

Land Transport Act 1998

Power-assisted Cycles (Declaration Not to be Motor Vehicles) Notice 2011

Pursuant to section 168A(2) of the Land Transport Act 1998, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me by the Chief Executive of the NZ Transport Agency, I, Donald Norman Hutchinson, Chief Engineer Vehicles, NZ Transport Agency, declare power-assisted cycles (as defined below) fitted with auxiliary propulsion motor(s) that have a combined maximum power output not exceeding 300 W not to be motor vehicles.

The notice entitled “Power-assisted Pedal Cycles (Declaration Not to be Motor Vehicles) Notice 2006”, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 February 2006, No. 10, page 198, is revoked.

Definitions

Cycle means:

(a) a vehicle that has at least two wheels and that is designed primarily to be propelled by the muscular energy of the rider; and

(b) includes a power-assisted cycle.

Power-assisted cycle means a cycle to which is attached one or more auxiliary propulsion motors that have a combined maximum power output not exceeding 300 W.
