New Instructions Relating to the Operation of Enrolment Schemes

New instructions have been issued under section 11G(1) of the Education Act 1989.

These instructions cover pre-enrolment, planning a ballot, balloting procedures, procedures subsequent to ballots, applications outside the pre-enrolment period, special programmes and other matters.

All schools with an enrolment scheme (with the exception of integrated schools, designated character schools, kura kaupapa Māori and special schools) must comply with these instructions.

or a local Ministry of Education office.

These instructions take effect on the date of publication of this notice and replace in full the earlier instructions notified in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 July 2000, No. 84, page 2028.
