Notice declaring clean zones and clean periods for the Rugby World Cup 2011
Pursuant to section 16(1) of the Major Events Management Act 2007 ("the Act"), the Minister for Economic Development gives the following notice:
- Commencement and Purpose
This notice, which comes into force on the day of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette, declares clean zones, clean transport routes, and clean periods pursuant to section 16 of the Act for the Rugby World Cup 2011.
- Clean zones, clean transport routes and clean periods
(1) The clean zones, clean transport routes and clean periods for the Rugby World Cup 2011 match venues are set out in the Schedule to this notice.
(2) The clean zones described in the Schedule include the land comprising the street or road which forms the border of the clean zone up to the boundary of any abutting land at the outside edge of the clean zone.
(3) The clean transport routes described in the Schedule include:
(a) any land to which the public ordinarily has access up to a distance of 20 metres from the clean transport route; and
(b) in the case of any part of a railway line which is a clean transport route, any place or land to which the public ordinarily has access that:
(i) forms part of a station on that portion of the line; or
(ii) is within 20m of the entrance to or exit from such a station.
- Excluded land and buildings
For the avoidance of doubt, the clean zones and clean transport routes described in sections in the Schedule to this notice do not include any excluded land or buildings, as defined in section 16(5) of the Act.
