Notice of Intention to Take Land for Refuse Transfer Station—Pahiatua, Tararua District

Pursuant to section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Tararua District Council gives notice of its intention to take the land described in the Schedule to this notice.

The land is required for a refuse transfer station and it is intended to be used for access to, construction of and operation of a refuse transfer station.

For the reasons set out above, the Tararua District Council considers it essential to take the land.

Any objections to the taking of this land must be sent by written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Justice Department, PO Box 5027, Lambton Quay, Wellington 6145, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

Wellington Land District—Tararua District

Schedule

Approximately 13.74 hectares located on Ridge Road North, Pahiatua, on its north-western boundary down to Pukemiku Road to the south.

An estate in leasehold, pursuant to an unregistered lease dated September 2008 between the Tararua District Council as lessor and Clarence Robert Mudgway and Margaret June Mudgway for a term of three years expiring 30 June 2011 together with two rights of renewal of three years each (final expiry date 30 June 2017) in:

(a) 3.8045 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2 DP 61932 described in Identifier WN30C/918; and

(b) 9.9355 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1 DP 61932 described in Identifier WN30C/917 (both Wellington Land Registry).
