Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996
Notice of Intention to Apply for Approval of Code of Practice
Pursuant to section 79 of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms (HSNO) Act 1996, the Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) gives notice that the Pest Management Association of New Zealand Incorporated intends to apply for the approval of a Code of Practice for the Control and Safe Use of Fumigants.
This code of practice is version 2 of the code of practice approved by ERMA New Zealand in October 2008.
Parts One and Two of this code provide a means of compliance with the HSNO Regulations and transfer notices, for fumigants listed in the Hazardous Substances (Fumigants) Transfer Notice 2004.
Part Three provides a summary of requirements under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 and other legislation.
The document provides a means of compliance against current legislation. It does not change or override the current legislation or the controls applied to the substances.

New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2011/9
Pursuant to section 61(3) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, and the Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2003, the NZ Transport Agency hereby makes the following bylaw.
Bylaw

Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on Highways) Amendment Bylaw 2011/9 and will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Amendment—The New Zealand Transport Agency (Speed Limits on State Highways) Bylaw 2010/10* is hereby amended by:
• Inserting new line 57A in Schedule 1 to read:
"Line No.: 57A

SH No.: 15A
Locality: Marsden Point
Section of State Highway: From 205m south-west of Mair Road to 440m north of Mair Road.
Speed Limit (km/h): 70

- Authority to make bylaw—This bylaw was made by the National Operations Manager, Highways and Network Operations, under delegated authority of the NZ Transport Agency.

Notice of Provisional Recognition for The Social Services Industry Training Organisation Te Kaiawhina Ahumahi Incorporated
Pursuant to sections 5 and 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, provisional recognition for The Social Services Industry Training Organisation Te Kaiawhina Ahumahi Incorporated as an industry training organisation has been granted for a period of 12 months, with effect from 2 September 2010 to 1 September 2011, to set standards at Levels 1–8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the social services industry.
