Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997

Notice of Application to Register a Trade Name Product (Notice No. 268)

Maree Zinzley, Manager (Approvals Operations) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) acting under delegated authority from the Director-General of MAF, gives notice, under section 14(1) of the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines Act 1997 (“the Act”), that the following application has been made to register a trade name product under section 9(1) of the Act:

Trade Name: Ripegas Pure
Reference: P008197
Active Ingredient and Concentration: Contains 1000g/kg ethylene
Formulation Type: Aerosol dispenser
General Use Claim: Used to accelerate the ripening and de-greening process in fruit.

Any person may make a written submission to the director-general concerning this application.
Under sections 16 and 17 of the Act, a written submission:
(a) must state in full the reasons for making the submission; and
(b) may state any decision sought on that application; and
(c) must be received by the director-general no later than 30 working days after the date of notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Under section 18 of the Act, a copy of every submission will be forwarded to the applicant for the applicant’s information.

Education Act 1989

Alternative Constitution for the Board of Trustees of Al-Madinah School (544)

Pursuant to section 105A of the Education Act 1989, I hereby approve the following constitution for the Board of Trustees of Al-Madinah School:

  • Up to three trustees appointed by the Minister of Education (one of which will be designated by the Minister as chairperson);
  • up to two trustees appointed by the school’s proprietors; and
  • the principal of the school.

The first trustees under this constitution will not take office until a day set by the Secretary for Education which will also be the date upon which the current commissioner’s appointment will end.

Sections 104 and 102(8A) of the Education Act 1989 will apply in respect of the board.
