Māori Land Development Notice
Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.
Notice
- This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Rotorua 2011, No. 1.
- The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked in so far as it relates to the land described in the Second Schedule.
- The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.

Public Works Act 1981
Notice of Intention to Take Land for the Functioning Indirectly of a Road—for the State Highway 1 Rangiriri Bypass, Waikato District
Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule to this notice (“the land”).
The land is required for construction of the State Highway 1 Rangiriri Bypass, Waikato.
More particularly, the land is required for the functioning indirectly of a road, being required for local authority road to be vested in the Waikato District Council as road following acquisition.
The project is required to reduce congestion and intersection delays, improve safety for local pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic, and to reduce travel time and the likelihood of crashes on the link between the Waikato region and Auckland.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Level 2, 41 Federal Street, Auckland 1010, or by post to DX CX10086, Auckland, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
